Can you solve the Murder Mystery?

Think suspense, excitement and drama. No this is not an episode of your favourite TV show, but this is a Murder Mystery event with Murder 57. Immerse yourself into character and become an investigator for the evening, solving the ever unfolding murder (or murders) of the night. The evening is filled with clues, evidence and twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end. It's the perfect way to spend time with friends and family.

We decided to attend The Award Winners event. It's based on an awards ceremony, where various actors are awaiting the results of 'the golden statuette.' Your evening begins at 7:30pm in the lounge; shifty eyes and suspicious looks bounce around the room whilst other 'investigators' are having a drink - waiting for the main doors to open. 

At 7:45pm, the events 'security' came out and announced the awards evening was about to begin. After this announcement we all headed into the room to our allocated seats for the evening. We were sat with 6 other guests, with one empty chair for people to come and visit our table. After everyone was seated, it was time for the excitement to begin. Security gave everyone a brief introduction to the awards ceremony, who each actor was and why they were all here. Then came the actors. There were 6 actors (or suspects) who were all extremely convincing in their characters, each one portraying very different but interesting characters. 

The starter was then served at 8:15pm. After our first mouthful of the delicious starter, a shocking announcement was made. Julian, the director of the film Hamlet which was up for several awards, was found dead in his room this afternoon. The security announced that throughout the night she would gather evidence for us to read and investigate, and most importantly help us solve the investigation. As the first pieces of evidence were added to the board, the actors (one by one) would filter around the tables, introduce themselves and answer any questions we had for them. Don't worry, we won't tell you any of the clues, but what we will tell you is make sure you read the evidence carefully and take notes of what the 'suspects' have to say. Don't be afraid to ask them direct or provoking questions, but make sure you let them talk and don't interrupt them; sometimes one of the suspects can accidentally let the evidence slip and give you an upper hand on the other investigators. 

We were served the main course at 8:45pm, we both ordered a chicken dish which was very enjoyable. During the main course, our table decided to discuss the main suspects with each other. We all had similar evidence but different suspects. After we debated about the evidence, as a table we all decided on who was our main suspect. Once the main courses were cleared from the table, there was a commotion heard, then all of a sudden screams flooded the room. One of the actors stumbled into the room (covered in blood) and fell to the ground. To make things more difficult, this was our main suspect. What a twist! Now we had a real investigation on our hands. 

It was back to the drawing board for us. Luckily, dessert was served at 9:30 which fueled our brains and gave us sugar rush we needed to solve this murder! The remaining suspects spoke among each other, mingled with the investigators and yelled at one another giving us a final few clues into who committed the murders. It was now time to give our answers. We're not going to tell you the answers to this murder, but what we will say is trust your instincts. If you think it's too obvious, then it may well just be them. But most importantly have fun! We absolutely would return to a Murder Mystery event with Murder 57 again.
